Shawnee County Partners with American Medical Response Topeka on Innovative Emergency Healthcare Solution
April 18, 2023 - American Medical Response (AMR) and Shawnee County announced today their plans to implement a new emergency healthcare solution this month. The new solution will allow residents and visitors to quickly reach the appropriate level of care when calling 911. Shawnee County (SNCO) and the City of Topeka are partners with AMR on the venture.

"Shawnee County is pleased to partner with AMR on this new program to improve efficiency and better serve the needs of the greater Shawnee County communities,” said Nelson Casteel, Shawnee County Ambulance Compliance Officer. “This program is the first step of many that will allow us to send the right resource to the right location, at the right time. I look forward to seeing positive impacts.”
