Religious Services

A range of religious services and programs that satisfy the fundamental tenets of most major faith groups are offered to the inmate/resident population. The Shawnee County Department of Corrections has a Chaplain available for the inmate/resident population. If an inmate/resident has religious needs for services other than those regularly provided, such requests shall be processed through the Chaplain for approval.

Regular and special religious services are offered as scheduled by the facility's chaplain. Bibles, Korans, and other religious texts and publications are available upon request. The department also offers bible study groups and other religious support programs.
