The Shawnee County Health Department (SCHD) will host a no-cost drive-through flu vaccine clinic on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from Noon to 3:00 PM at Hummer Sports Park - East Parking Lot. This clinic is open to uninsured adults, ages 19 and over, without health insurance, while supplies last. For this special event only, the administrative fee will be waived.
No appointment is required. Participants will enter the clinic from the north side of the parking lot off SW Tuffy Kellogg Drive. Consent forms and Vaccine Information Statements (VIS) are available in both English and Spanish and may be printed and completed before arrival. Consent and VIS forms will also be available onsite.
This year's flu vaccine protects against three strains of seasonal flu. The flu shot triggers antibodies to develop in the body, which provide protection against infection from the flu virus. The CDC recommends that everyone six months and older receive an annual flu vaccine.
Getting vaccinated remains especially important to protect those at higher risk of serious flu complications, many of whom are also vulnerable to other respiratory illnesses.
