Notice of Audit of the 2026 Primary Election – pursuant to K.S.A. 25-3009 notice is hereby given that the audit of the August 4th Primary Election will take place on Monday, August 10th beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Shawnee County Election Office, 3420 SW Van Buren Street, Topeka, Kansas.
This will be a manual audit or tally of each vote cast, regardless of the method of voting, in 1% of all precincts, with a minimum of three precincts located within the county. The precincts will be randomly selected and the selection will take place after the election. The audit shall be performed by a sworn election board consisting of bi-partisan trained board members. The county election officer shall determine the members sworn election board who will conduct the audit.
