Shawnee County
Early Voting for the City of Topeka Primary Election begins Monday, July 21st at the Shawnee County Election Office during the following hours: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm Monday – Friday, July 21-25 and July 28-August 1 8:00 am – Noon on Monday, August 4. The Election Office is located at the corner of SW Van Buren and SW Croix Streets. The entrance to the parking lot is from SW Croix Street.
The August 5th Primary Election is only for voters who reside inside the city limits of Topeka. There are only 2 contests in this election: Mayor and City Council District 1. Click here for the list of Candidates. The first day of in-person Early Voting at the Election Office is Monday, July 21st beginning at 8:00 am.
The deadline to register to vote, including updates to voter registrations to reflect recent residency or name changes is 5:00 pm Tuesday, July 15th.
Registration may be done online or in person at the Election Office during normal office hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
